The winter brings dangerous snowstorms, cold winds, rain and icy roads. The winter can also bring dangerous conditions around your home. Your pipes can freeze and burst. Heavy snow can weigh down on your power lines causing you to lose power. Your insurance policy can help to cover your repair costs. Check your policy to see what’s covered and the deductible you’ve chosen.
Things to remember:
If you lose power,
- Don’t run a generator or barbecue grill indoors. Don’t use your oven for heat either. The fumes can kill you.
- Don’t leave candles or a fireplace unattended and keep the area well ventilated.

- How bad is the damage?
- What is your current contact information and the best time to reach you?
Photos and/or video will be helpful in the claims process.
