The two remaining Disaster Recovery Centers are in Essex and Passaic counties. The centers, which are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., provide face-to-face contact for those who have already registered.
In addition, the Federal Emergency Management Agency recently announced a 60-day extension for the proof-of-loss deadline for flood victims of Hurricane Irene from November 23rd to January 23rd, 2012, under the National Flood Insurance Program.
